The ASTPS Board of Directors goal is to have a strong ethical standard to guide members in their conduct as taxpayer representatives. The COE should provide a means by which the disciplinary committee may evaluate member performance in our practice niche. The CPEC provides a structure that assures members to maintain their professional skills in effective taxpayer representation. The CPEC reviews the Certified Tax Resolution Specialist (CTRS) program and suggests possible enhancements presented to the BOD for consideration.
